Museum - concrete protection

Tervuren - Belgium

Description:

The architects of the new reception pavilion of the Africa Museum in Tervuren (Belgium) chose black architectonic concrete as the core of the building. The goal was to keep this black concrete intact throughout the whole constructions. Omniguard 110NP was sprayed on the concrete and formed a temporary protective coating. This layer protected the concret against damages and filthiness, like grinding sparks. At the end of the project, the film could be easily removed like any normal plastic foil. The black architectonic concrete remained untouched and brand new.
